I was once asked:

1   Is this Book of Life already written?  If no, who is writing the Book?   If yes, do our actions matter?

    

2 Do you think Pharaoh and Yahudah Iscariot could have acted differently?  Do we really have a choice in our actions?

 

 

These questions are very good, this is not the first time I've been asked this..  We will deal with two issues from his question, the first being the Book of Life and the second is choices (do we have any).  As you will see, the Book of Life and choices go hand in hand.  Whoever is found written in the Book of Life is there because they made the choice to have it there.

                                    WHAT IS THE BOOK OF LIFE?

The Book of Life is a manuscript that belongs to Yah; no man is worthy to open the book except He whom Yah has granted permission that is Yahoshua.  The book of life contains the names of every person who lived his or her life in righteousness.  All those who will inherit eternal life and live in the kingdom forever, their name is found in the Book of Life.

 

#1 Is this Book of Life already written? 

 

Yes, the Book is already written, the Book was written before the foundation of the world.  Before man was created the Book of Life was written, this is deep, but a clear understanding will be made in just a moment.

 If yes, do our actions matter?

Yes our actions matter because it is our actions that determine if we are found worthy of eternal life.  Yah has already made that judgment; everything we see today is nothing but a rerun for Yah.  This gives us a deeper meaning of Ecclesiastes 1:9. There is nothing new under the sun. 

 

This phrase has dual meaning. One of its meanings is, rebellion, sin, lawlessness etc. is not new, it was done before in the ancient times.  The greater meaning of this verse and how it relates to this lesson is: "NONE OF THE THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING TODAY IS NEW, YAH SAW EVERYTHING BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, THIS IS A REPLAY FOR HIM. 

 

Think about it, at one point sin among man was new; worshipping gods was new, but Ecclesiastes 1:9  says: 

 

9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

 

What has been is what shall be, what has been done is what shall be done, and there is no new matter under the sun.  WHY? Yah has saw this all before.  It is only now that these things are being manifested to be carried out.  

Yah knew before the world was created who would choose to follow him and who would not, he has called the end from the beginning.

Isaiyah 46:10 (IsaYAH)  declaring the end from the beginning, and from of old that which has not yet been done, saying, 'My counsel does stand, and all My delight I do',

Yah has called the end of time from the beginning of time, because he has already saw these things.  It is still our choice to choose life with Yah or death with Satan.  

Deuteronomy 30:19-20   "I have called the heavens and the earth as witnesses today against you:  I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse.  Therefore you shall choose life, so that you live, both you and your seed, to love Yah to obey His voice, and to cling to Him-for He is your life and the length of your days-to dwell in the land which Yah swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Yitshaq (Isaac), and to Ya'aqob (Jacob), to give them." 

The choice is always ours, Yah knows everyone who has turned their ears and hearts from him before they are conceived, he saw this before he created the world.  

Yirmeyah 1:5 (Jeremyah) "Before I formed you in the belly I knew you, and before you came out of the womb I did set you apart - I appointed you a prophet to nations."
 

Yah knew JeremiYah would hearken to His word before he was ever born.  However, the choice was always Jeremyah. Yah did not force him to except Him or his office.  Yah ordained Jeremyah, because he chose to follow Him.  Yah has a special place for all His servants.

When Yahoshua shed his blood as the sacrifice for Ysrayl, this was not the first time that happened. This had already taken place from the foundation of the world; it was only manifested in our time.

1 Peter 1:20  ...foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for your sakes,

Rev 13:8  And all those dwelling on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world shall worship him (Satan).

Hebrews 9:26   For if so, He would have had to suffer often, since the foundation of the world.  But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the offering of Himself.

Lets go back to Ecclesiastes 9 to let scripture interpret scripture.

 

9 What has been (everything we see today has happened before the world was created as the Father who created all, knows all), is what shall be (once the world was created these things are manifested to us); what has been done (everything that was done from the foundation of the world) is what shall be done (It shall be done in our life time, the life time of man and creation): and there is no new matter under the sun. (None of these things are new, Yah knew and knows everything).

The prophets of Ysrayl were killed from the foundation of the world.

Luke 11:50 ... so that the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world shall be required of this generation.

 

This is why those in the Book of Life are already there.  If you are in the book, you didn't enter it today or yesterday, you were in the book before the birth of your great, great, great, grandfather to the 5th power. Yah already knew the path you would choose, He saw you enduring whatever came your way until the end of your life.  He knows you really love Him, His truth, & His Messiah.  All that is left is for you to take those steps that will bring you closer to what you have to do.  

Ephesians 1:4 ...even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be set-apart and blameless before Him in love,

Daniyl 12:1  "Now at that time Mika'el shall stand up, the great head who is standing over the sons of your people.  And there shall be a time of distress, such as never was since there was a nation, until that time.  And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book,

Everything that is happening in our lives this very moment is because of the choices we make.  I have put my life on a 5-year plan; the choices I make today will affect my life 5 years in the future.  The choices I made 5 years ago are manifested in my life today.  Those who are already in the book are making calculated steps to fulfill that which they have to do.  Every deed of your hand is your choice, we choose to let Satan come in among us, we choose to murder, we choose to commit adultery etc. 

Those in the book have made their choice, their work is finished, it has to be manifested on this time frame.

Hebrews 4:3  For we who have believed do enter into that rest, as He has said, "As I swore in My wrath, if they shall enter into My rest..." And yet His works have come into being from the foundation of the world.

Since the Book of Life was written from the foundation of the world, those whose names are written in the Book can't be removed.  Yah has already known who will make it into the kingdom. He knows every soul that will enter in through one of the 12 gates.  With Yah knowing all this information, the book is already written and sealed, there is no need to open it until the appointed time.

Revelation 5:2-7  And I saw a strong messenger proclaiming with a loud voice,  "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose it's seals?"

 And none in the heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.

 And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.

 And one of the elders saith unto me, "Do not weep.  See, the Lion of the tribe of Yahudah (Judah), the Root of David (Dawid), overcame to open the scroll and to loosen its seven seals."

 And He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him sitting on the throne.

Because of Ysrayl sinful nature, Mose asked Yah to remove him from the Book of Life.

Exodus (Shemoth) 32: 32   "And now, if You would forgive their sin, but if not, please blot me out of Your book which You have written."

 

33 And Yah said to Mose, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I blot him out of My book.

If you are blotted out of the book, this means you were never there to begin with.  If your name is not written in the Book of Life, it was not there from the foundation of the world when the book was written. This is why Yah didn't remove Moses’ name from the Book of Life, it was and still is there, and will be forever.

Psalms (Tehillim) 69:28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

Revelation 17:8  "The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the pit of the deep and goes to destruction.  And those dwelling on the earth, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world shall marvel when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. 

 

The Book of Life is spoken about throughout Scripture, it is a book that contains the names of all the people who will enter the kingdom, and inherit everlasting life.  The book was written from the foundation of the world. It is sealed until the appointed time.

Matthew (Mattithyah) 25:34  "Then the Sovereign shall say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the reign prepared for you from the foundation of the world-

(John) Yahanan 17:24  "Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me, might be with Me where I am, so that they see My esteem which You have given Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

 To sum this up brothers and sisters, everything that is taking place now has already happen, this is a rerun for Yah.  The book of life has been written and sealed.  Those who will make the kingdom are already there; they only have to fulfill the steps to achieve it.  If you are there it is your destiny to be there, because you choose Yah.  This was spoken of extensively in the movies the Matrix reloaded and revolution.
